Isonic Medical aims to enable equal eye health care and diagnostics for women

iSonic Medical is designing the first tonometer to enable measuring eye pressure in women more accurately and differently than in men.
We have different patented measurement methods for men and women taking into account the difference in tissue elasticity between sexes and its impact on the corneal response to the perturbation of the cornea inherent in every possible method used to measure intra  ocular pressure.  Yes, this means measurement of Intra ocular pressure is inherently erroneous in women who are currently misdiagnosed and mistreated in ophthalmology.
This is the first tonometer that differentiates the measurement between women and men and finally enables adequate health care for women.
Women are routinely discounted for in medicine when it comes to diagnosis or treatment and measured as if they were males. It is well known that novel drug clinical trials are mostly performed in men while women can have drug responses different from men due to differences in tissues, metabolism, hormonal status and basic physiology.
